Dear Friends,   

 

With temperatures soaring and holidays looming, summer is truly with us!!! 

 

A few dates for your diaries and updates of what’s happening and planned                                                                                         

 

 SCHOOL HATS:  The hats proved so popular they sold out really fast, so this year we ordered more, these will be sold in the playground before and after school or in the offices during the day. Each hat will cost £4.00 a good investment for many more hot summers to come.

 

June Quiz winner is Barbara Cavanagh who won £25.00 of WEARABOUTS vouchers, well done!!

 

100 Club winner for July is Jane Pescod - £40 well done!!

We currently need more participants to ensure the club keeps going. Prizes £40 per month, £100 December, nearly £2000 has been made for the School so far! Forms available from School Office. Please join and Good Luck!!!

                            

SUMMER DISCO

Went really well, about 180 children attended and had a good time! Thanks to all who attended and supervised, we will do this again!!

 

FOOD FESTIVAL WITH BBQ

Saturday 19th September 2009, Annexe, 12.00 to 16.00,

Family tickets £15 up to 4 children, or Adults £5.00, Children £2.50 (under 3`s Free)

This is one of our most popular events, please come along!! We are hoping to have a Disco and karaoke, Multisport, a balloon race, Raffle of top quality Hasbro toys, Wearabouts selling discounted school uniform, a bouncy castle for 4-7 year olds, a licensed bar at very reasonable prices!, and unlimited BBQ food and extra special dishes!!

Thomasina French is collecting the green lids from Milk Bottle tops to raise money for Charity. Please support her by collecting as many green lids as you can and handing them into the office. Many Thanks.

 

 

This weekend Sunday 5th July Church of Resurrection annual Barbecue and Kirkdales got talent competition, 12.00 to 16.00. Family of 2 adults and 4 children £15, adults £5 children £2.50

Tickets available on door, all welcome.

 

 

 

Monday 6th July, Janice Taylor Mass, OLSPN Church and social in Catholic Club afterwards.

Sunday 16th August, Picnic and games in park,

Wells Park (FREE) bring a picnic drinks and trainers, many games and fun, please come along!!!

 

A MESSAGE TO ALL

 

Many thanks for all your support, enthusiasm and encouragement this year. We have tried our best to arrange successful, value for money events and schemes and hope we have succeeded.

 

 To all our year 6 leavers, best of luck in your new schools, we wish you well on your journey, if your family is leaving the school, Thank you for all your kindness over the years and please keep in touch!!

Philip Miles  (Dad of Charlie, Noah and Sunny),is running the London Marathon in April to raise money for a childrens muscular dystrophy charity called The Duchenne Family Support Group

It helps families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is a muscle-wasting condition mainly affecting boys. The condition results in decreasing mobility and muscle strength with limited life expectancy (usually mid-20's). It provides helpline, support and social events  (Charity Registration No 328220  )
